“GREAT GRIGIO STYLE. While this tiny vineyard doesn't have a cellar door, like many small establishments, it receives guests by appointment. Its sole wine is a scintillatingly citrussy dry pinot gris made in a pinot grigio style, but with plenty of interest and intensity in its apple fruit overlaid with mineral, almond and spice.” 347 Parnell Rd, Parnell, Auckland

“The third vintage of this outstanding Pinot Gris that offers great value for money. The wine is made in a dry, crisp almost Pinot Grigio style, on appearance, it is light green straw colour, the bouquet is unmistakeably Pinot Gris. On the palate it displays rich intense apple and fig characteristics with aromas of pear, at the same time with an incredibly oily middle palate which delivers a clean, crisp and persistent finish. Its minerally and great purity is reminiscent of a great Italian Pinot Grigio. Drink now or cellar for another 3 years.” www.accentonwine.co.nz 347 Parnell Rd, Parnell, Auckland

"…It comes from a small family vineyard that produces only one varietal. Here we have a bone-dry pinot gris, bursting with pear-dominated fruit and ending in sharp, crisp, racy, mouth-watering acidity. This wine should develop nicely over the next five years. An oily fatness will develop with age and add further interest. An excellent wine to accompany salmon."

"…This is a full bodied wine with fresh Pinot Gris grape aromas of spice and petals. It has a wonderful full texture and richness without being oily or fat and as the palate of the wine develops there is a savoury cheesiness from lees contact, which adds complexity and power to the wine. It is floral and forward, yet savoury and long in the mouth. This is a well balanced and big expression of Pinot Gris that we rarely if ever see in Australia. It is not an easy wine to get hold of, but it should be around town on some better wine lists, if you do find it in retail it will cost about $25." The review online is here
